Our last stop as we fly out of here. Capital city with so much to do in and around it. Skiing in the Andes, nice beaches and interesting towns all very close to what is the beating heart of this country.

Stunning landscape around the laid back town. See it on a horse or bicycle. Geysers, mountains, sand boarding, star gazing (it's one of the best places on Earth to see the stars) and more.
Small city with a large beach. A short distance from the pisco distilleries and star gazing observatory in Elqui Valley.
Option to do the W Circuit (5 days) or day trips. Elaine & Owen did the Grey Glaciar and Mirador Cuernos.
Added on the end of the Salt Flats tour
Take a wild ride down 150m high sand dunes just outside a desert oasis town in northern chile.
An excellent option for people traveling from Puerto Montt to Puerto Natales (or back), a city which is only 115 km from the Torres del Paine National Park. Instead of making the journey by plane, you can sail across and contemplate the beauty of the Patagonian fjords and its incredible flora and fauna. $450 for 4 days/3 nights.
Before we left, the shortlist for Chile looked like this — 12 days planned.
Dashed = we never made it there (this time).
